With a strong passion and enthusiasm for singing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Choir, established in 2015, aims to cultivate the ability of music appreciation among its members and explore different singing styles and genres ranging from a cappellas to solemn masterpieces.
The Choir, with the support by the Culture Promotion Committee of the University, fields a group of choral lovers make up of students, staff and alumni from different faculties and schools.
The Choir provides a platform for interaction through singing and music making. It made its debut performance for the Musical Exchange programme with St Catharine’s College Choir, University of Cambridge in April 2016 at PolyU.

Cambridge Exchange Programme: Concert at Emmanuel United Reformed Church, Cambridge, UK
In March 2018, selected members of the Choir paid a reciprocal visit to University of Cambridge for a joint performance with St Catharine’s College of the University of Cambridge. In the exchange concert, PolyU Choir was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform a sacred music repertoire with St Catharine’s College Choir at one of the acoustically finest chapels in the United Kingdom. PolyU Choir also performed Chinese folk songs rearranged by Contemporary Composers, thus deepening cross-cultural exchange through music and singing.
