The Power of Passion - A Concert by PolyU Orchestra with the Winners of Soloist Audition

“The Power of Passion - A Concert by PolyU Orchestra with the Winners of Soloist Audition" will showcase the musical talents of the PolyU Orchestra to enrich the cultural ambience of the PolyU campus. Under the baton of Mr Leung Kin-fung, Artistic Director and Conductor, the concert will feature a diverse repertoire of Eastern and Western music, including Wang Xilin’s Torch Festival, Wang Fuling’s My Chinese Heart, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

The concert will prominently feature the talents of the Soloist Audition Winners: PolyU student Li Yu-tong and PolyU Alumnae Lam Hiu-ying and Kwok Wing-sum. They will enchant the audience with their renditions of Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen, Op. 20 and Moscheles’s Concertante in F major for Flute, Oboe and Orchestra. These pieces present unique challenges that demand extensive practice and dedication from both the soloists and the members of the PolyU Orchestra to deliver captivating performances, showcasing their remarkable talents and the hard work they have put into their practice.
