The Hangovers
Founded in 1968, The Hangovers are the official all-male a cappella subset of the Cornell University Glee Club, the oldest student organization at Cornell University.

The Hangs sing a wide variety of musical styles including jazz, pop, traditional choral, as well as original compositions and parodies. All of their arrangements are created by current members and alumni of the group, and the group is entirely student run.

The Hangs have competed in international competitions such as the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, advancing to the semi-finals in 2001. They have performed for Helmut Schmidt, the widow of Anwar Sadat, Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, Gerald Ford, Henry Kissinger, Cornell alumna Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and other notables.

The name Hangovers is taken from the title that was given to fifth-year students in Cornell’s five-year architecture and engineering programmes of the 1960s. After their fourth (senior) year, students in these programmes had to hang over an additional year to complete their degrees.

The PolyU Students’ Union Choir
Since its inception in 1971, the PolyU Students' Union Choir has always endeavoured to promote music to every member of the PolyU community and the wider public. Through regular practices and performances, the Choir provides an opportunity for its members to share the joy of music with audiences and help them develop singing skills.

The Choir performs a diverse array of music, such as classical, pop, religious and jazz music, with the addition of a cappella and show choir music in recent years.
