In 1860, upon the signing of the Treaty of Peking, the southern part of Kowloon peninsula became part of the British colony of Hong Kong. It gradually developed into a commercial cum residential district. Eminent historian Dr Joseph Ting will host a talk themed “The History of Tsim Sha Tsui”. Dr Ting will shed light on the Tsim Sha Tsui’s development since 1860, and the history of street naming.

Hosted by Mr Tang Hoi-chiu, former Chief Curator of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, this talk will start with traditional Chinese painting, the identity of Hong Kong's ink art and an introduction of some masterpieces from different periods. Audience may take a stroll through the landscapes and pictorial subjects under the master’s ink and brush vocabularies with a new representation of ink painting and other art forms.

How to make a choice is always a fascinating topic. At the beginning, it was the theatre that chose me. After an almost four-decade long quest, I have chosen the theatre. Today, my life, my religion and my work are inseparable from the theatre.
On my quest for the meaning of life, I have grown as a person. A person never stops growing unless they stop taking their life seriously. What does it mean to take life seriously?
