The advent of Generative AI (GenAI) is transforming the educational landscape, presenting both opportunities and challenges for learning design and innovation. This virtual special forum will explore the integration of AI technologies in educational contexts, examining how GenAI can support educators in developing innovative pedagogies and enhancing the student learning experience. The forum aims to equip educators with actionable strategies and a forward-thinking perspective on the future of learning in an increasingly digital world.

The special forum consists of two parts: a featured presentation by Professor Hassan Khosravi from The University of Queensland, titled "Maximising AI's Potential in Education: Harnessing Strengths, Mitigating Challenges", followed by a panel discussion featuring Professor Khosravi, Professor Li-ta Hsu from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Michael Botelho from The University of Hong Kong, Professor Irwin King from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Professor Benjamin Moorhouse from the City University of Hong Kong.
