Current PhD Students (Chief Supervisor)
Yong HU Yong HU received the Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Agricultural University of Hebei, Baoding, Hebei Province, China, in 2014 and the Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, in 2017. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. Degree in Department of Electrical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR. His research interests include probabilistic analysis of power system stability with renewable energy and optimal strategies to improve power system stability. |

Jiangfeng ZHANG (Frida) Jiangfeng ZHANG received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from the Wuhan University of Science and technology, China, in 2017, and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2020. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her current research interests include?power system stability analysis. |

Ruoheng WANG Ruoheng WANG received his B.S. degree in measurement and control technology and instrument from the Wuhan Institute of Technology, China, in 2016, and M.S. degree in hydraulic engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2018. He joined PolyU in 2020, and is now pursuing his Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical Engineering. His current research interests include data analytics and intelligent optimization for smart grid applications and renewable energy integration. |

Chaoyun WANG Chaoyun WANG received her BEng in Electrical Engineering and BBM in Business Administration from Xi'an Jiaotong University (China) in 2017. She then received her MEng in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University (China) and CentraleSup¨¦lec (France) in 2020. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests focus on optimization and uncertainty analysis of microgrids with penetration of renewable energy. |

Chao HUANG (Carmel) Chao HUANG received his BEng degree in Energy and Power Engineering from North China Electric Power University, Beijing, China, in 2019, and MSc degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, Hong Kong, in 2020. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Department of Electrical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kowloon, Hong Kong. His research interests include application of artificial intelligence in power system as well as prognostics and health management of electrical apparatus. |

She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests include power system stability analysis. |

Qifan CHEN Qifan CHEN received his M.Eng. degree in Power System & Automation and B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering & Automation both from Fuzhou University, China, in 2021 and 2018, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR. His research interests include the application of big data/machine learning in power systems stability analysis. |

Chao LEI Chao LEI received his B.S. degree in Agro-Mechanical Engineering from Sichuan Agricultural University in 2010 and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chongqing University in 2015. From 2015 to 2021, he was an electric power dispatcher working at State Grid Sichuan Electrical Power Company. He joined CAiRS as a Research Associate since 2021, Hong Kong SAR. His current research interests involve data analytics and convex optimization for renewable integration and smart grid applications.

Dr Genghong LU (Olivia) Genghong LU received the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2021. From 2018 to 2019, she worked as a visiting doctoral scholar at University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Advances in Reliability and Safety (CAiRS), N.T., Hong Kong. Her research interest includes data analytics, machine learning, attack detection for industrial control systems, and cyber security of cyber-physical systems.

Dr Wenting YI (Vickie) Wenting YI received her BEng in Electrical Engineering & Automation and BBM in Business Administration from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2021. She was the recipient of the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship from the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, and CLP Fellowship in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong during her Ph.D. studies. Her research interests include high renewable-penetrated power system stability. |

Dr Chang LI Chang LI received the Bachelor degree and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Guizhou University and Hunan University in 2014 and 2020, respectively. Since October of 2020 he has been a visiting Postdoc researcher at Technical University of Denmark. His current research interests include: Power electronics interfaced power systems. |
