Area of Specialisation
Planning, navigation and control of UAVs and mobile ground robots; multi-agent systems; system modelling and simulation.
Short Description
Dr. Huang obtained BEng in Automation from China University of Petroleum, Beijing, and Ph.D. in Systems and Control from University of New South Wales, Sydney. Before joining the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, the University of New South Wales, Sydney. So far, he has authored 2 books, more than 20 conference papers, and more than 90 journal papers in the aforementioned areas.
He leads the research group of Autonomous and Interactive Mobile Systems (AIMS), which aims at developing autonomous and interactive mobile systems for better user experience and higher productivity. More information about AIMS can be found here (https://sites.google.com/view/hailong-huang/home).
