On 19 September 2019, President Professor Jin-Guang Teng met with 100 PolyU research graduates, research assistants and alumni in Shanghai. Dr Miranda Lou, Executive Vice President, joined President Teng in welcoming the alumni at the dinner.
The atmosphere of the event was relaxed and ebullient. President Teng shared with alumni the latest achievements of PolyU and expressed his wish to see PolyU becoming a world-class research university devoted to emerging technologies, e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, New Materials and Biotechnology, etc. President Teng is committed to leading PolyU as a university that advances and transfers knowledge, and provides the best holistic education for the benefit of Hong Kong, the nation and the world.
It was an enjoyable and unforgettable evening for everyone. Besides being a good opportunity for networking and exchange for PolyU alumni and friends, it embodied alumni support for the development of the University.
