On 9 January 2024, the Alumni Affairs Office warmly welcomed five alumni leaders from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Southern California) Association. They were Ms Shirley Yeung, Ms K K Yeung, Mr Leo Chu and Mrs Ivy Chu, and Mr Beta Tam.
The overseas alumni were delighted to meet with Prof. Jin-Guang Teng, President of the University, to learn about the latest developments and milestones of their alma mater. They were especially interested in the University’s accomplishments in medical health research, pledging to actively assist PolyU in expanding cooperation opportunities for the continuous advancement of the field. The group also visited various iconic landmarks on campus, including PolyU Main Entrance and the University Square.
Founded in 2007 in Los Angeles, the Association has been a steadfast supporter of the University. With over 70 members, it actively organises networking activities in Southern California. President Teng expressed his gratitude to the Association for its ongoing contributions, in particular the generous provision of scholarships to PolyU students and the valuable advice offered to exchange students.
