Alumni Leader

It gave me much pleasure to join The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Western Canada) Association in 2003 after I emigrated to Vancouver. Not only was I able to reminisce about my school days and become acquainted with many alumni, but I also had the chance to design a PolyU 80th Anniversary Celebration souvenir with the support of my alma mater. As president, I take pride in the hard work and efforts of our Board of Directors and volunteers as we build up a good network of communication and friendship among our alumni community.

I am thankful for the knowledge and skills I gained at PolyU, which enabled me to land my first job as an accountant easily after graduation and excel in my career. As a PolyU graduate, I make every effort to support the University’s development and urge all other alumni to do so as well.

My alma mater’s motto of “To learn and to apply, for the benefit of mankind” has filled my life with ideals, love and warmth. As president of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Shenzhen Research Institute Pearl River Delta Alumni Network, while serving fellow alumni with heart and empathy, I can feel the support of the University and teachers for the Alumni Network, as well as their lingering concern and help for alumni’s development. Our alumni’s outstanding contributions in various sectors make me realise the warmth and satisfaction that a heart for other people can bring. The Alumni Network serves as both a bridge between the University and fellow alumni, and a platform for resource sharing among alumni. Let me wish our alma mater continuous prosperity in the days ahead!
