Dr Kai Chung LO

Biography

Dr LO is a registered social worker with over 20 years of experience in front-line social work, teaching, and field education within non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and academic institutions. He has dedicated more than 12 years to front-line practice and service management in NGOs, primarily focusing on ethnically diverse populations and individuals with disabilities in Hong Kong.

 

Dr LO earned his PhD from the University of Hong Kong, where his research concentrated on father involvement with children with special needs. He is a professional affiliate of the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity, and Race of the American Psychological Association, as well as a facilitator for the WHO-Caregiver Skills Training in Hong Kong. He serves on advisory boards for various research projects concerning the employment of ethnic minority women, pedagogical approaches to mathematics for non-Chinese students, professional development of social workers from diverse ethnic backgrounds, fatherhood studies, among other areas.
