Dr. Xiang Lin YU

Biography
Dr. Yu joined the CNERC as a Research Fellow in September 2024. He obtained his degrees all in Civil Engineering from Chongqing University (BEng, 2008), Xiamen University (MEng, 2011), Tongji University & University of Washington (Joint Ph.D., 2018), respectively. From September 2018 to July 2024, Dr. Yu worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Tsinghua University (Beijing). His research interests mainly focus on the constitutive modelling of high-performance structural steels (such as high-strength steel, fire-resistant steel and fire-resistant weathering steel), fire experiment, numerical simulation and design methodology of the mechanical behavior of high-performance steel and composite components.
