2 Dec 2017

The Naming Ceremony of the Pauline Tsang Po Yan Gallery and the Unveiling Ceremonies of the Wall of Pride @ Alumni Atrium and the Sculpture “Congregation” were held at PolyU on 2 December 2017 in recognition of the ardent support from alumna and University Fellow Mrs Pauline Tsang Po-yan, alumnus and University Fellow Ir Tsui Tack-kong, and renowned sculptor and University Fellow Professor Norman Ko Wah-man. At the ceremonies, Council Chairman Mr Chan Tze-ching and President Professor Timothy W. Tong expressed sincere appreciation for their tremendous contributions towards the development of the University.

Located on the first floor of the Alumni Atrium and named after Mrs Pauline Tsang Po-yan, the Gallery provides an area for showing information related to University developments as well as for other art and cultural activities.

The Wall of Pride @ Alumni Atrium, funded by Ir Tsui Tack-kong, is an extension of the Wall of Pride at podium level conceived by him in 2009 and funded by him, his friends and other PolyU alumni. The Wall showcases the four stages of development of PolyU.

“Congregation” is a set of eight pieces of bird-shaped stainless steel sculptures displayed at the lawn area of Alumni Atrium, created and donated by Professor Norman Ko Wah-man in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of PolyU.
