Health, Safety & Environment Office (HSEO) is committed to promote health, safety and environmental compliance on campus and to raise awareness among staff and students of the importance of these elements as well as their interrelatedness.

What is an Integrated Pest Management (IPM)? How does it relate to the prevention of communicable diseases, e.g. dengue fever and Zika? What are the opportunities to eliminate or drastically reduce the use of pesticides? How to minimize the toxicity of and exposure to any products which are used?

Integrated Pest Management Campaign 2019  (IPM#HSEO) will be held during 2 -10 April 2019.  HSEO is now inviting your participation / enrollment to the following events:

1) IPM Exhibition

Date: 2 – 4 April 2019 (Tuesday - Thursday)

Time: 09:00 – 22:00 (4 April until 15:00)

Venue: FJ Podium

2) Interactive Booths (with Souvenirs)

Date: 4 April 2019 (Thursday)

Time: 12:00 – 15:00

Venue: FJ Podium

3) Talk on Preventive and Control Measures for Pests at PolyU

Date: 10 April 2019

Time: 10:30 – 11:30

Venue: Room HJ304

Speakers: Health Inspector (Pest Control) Yau Tsim District

4) IPM Online Quiz

Visit https://polyu.hk/JUFxH to answer the questions from 2 to 10 April 2019 noon.

20 participants (10 staff members & 10 students) who completed the form and answer the questions correctly will have a chance to win a $100 voucher by lucky draw.
