Technical Visit to HKSTP

On 4 September 2023, MILESAA has a technical visit to Hong Kong Science and Technology Park artificial intelligence labs and Experience Centre, there are totally 13 persons participated in this event. We started our visit at 9:25.

The visit started with Laborartory Artificial Intelligence in Design. Through using AI and four perimeters: pattern, designers’ design, color, and clothing type, 8 design samples can be generated within 10 seconds and thousands of designs can be generated in a day, this can greatly increase the output of the design.

Manual visual checking of cloth can be time consuming, and results may not be consistent. By using scanner and AI to detect cloth defects, result can be consistent, and defects will directly be labelled on the cloth.

Dynamic 3D scan for foot board, body and head can be used for designing insole, clothing and head wearables that can be used during motions.

In Hong Kong Industrial Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Centre, examples of using AI for failure prediction in cargo transportation and lift door failure can greatly reduce time of prediction. Finding bad samples may be difficult at the start up or if the failure rate is very low. By using AI and minimum 30 pieces of good samples, the system can start to base on this data to identify bad samples.

Robotics Catalyzing Centre and AI Plug Lab is a one stop solution for 3D drawing, making prototype and 3D printing at a very low cost.

Experience Centre is a show lab for innovated products designed in Science and Technology Park. Five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth) can be represented with five colors. AI can be used to learn calligraphy.

The event adjoined at 12:45, participants are delighted with the event. At the end, we have promoted coming two events in October (Technical Visit to HKSTP KTO- Advanced Manufacturing Center and Data Center Hub and Manufacturing Forum).
