Brief Biosketch
Dr. Song Zaixin is a Research Assistant Professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Dr. Song obtained the degrees of B.Eng. and M.Eng. from Harbin Institute of Technology, Mainland China, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), Hong Kong, in 2021. In 2021, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at CityU. In 2022, he joined PolyU ISE. His research interests include Electric Motor Design & Control, Smart Manufacturing and Robotics, Sustainable Transport Propulsion, Renewable Energy, among other related fields. Dr. Song has been honored the Outstanding Academic Performance Award at CityU for many times, and received the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies Scholarships. He has published more than 50 academic papers including 42 internationally recognized SCI journal articles. He has 16 CN and US patents authorized. He is currently the Editorial Board Member and Guest Editor of well-known SCI journals, IEEE Member, CES Member, APEN Academy Member.
