Internal search feature on PolyU home page

To facilitate staff and students to search internal documents that are made available to all staff and students, a new “internal search” function has been added to the PolyU home page (https://www.polyu.edu.hk).

When using this new internal search function, staff and students are required to log in with NetID and NetPassword.  Once the system has been authenticated the identity of PolyU staff and students, the search engine will show different search results. 

Next time when you are trying to find internal documents available to all staff and students, you can input the keywords related to the document name or its content and select “Internal Search”.

Below is an example of searching information related to Student Computer Centre (SCC) by using “general search bar”:

If we search “scc” again by selecting “internal search” after successful sign-in with NetID and NetPassword, the search results will be totally different.
