Some new features on Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) have been released to both PolyU O365 staff and student instance. Highlights of new features relevant to online teaching delivery using PolyU connect account are as follows:

Raise hand for question / comment
Participants in the Teams meeting could now virtually “raise hand” to let the presenter and other participants know you would like to speak without interrupting the presentation. Just click on Hand icon in control bar to raise a hand.

Attendance report
Teaching staff can now retrieve attendance report with information of participants’ name, join time and leave time for a meeting session. To get the attendance report, click on Participants icon in control bar and download attendee list before you end the meeting session.

Increase in the number of simultaneous videos
The number of shared video of participants that can be viewed simultaneously in a Teams meeting has been increased from 4 to 9 (3 x 3). Presenter could also have a full screen of video to get participants’ full attention.
