Starting from 1 June 2021, MS Teams meeting recordings will be saved to OneDrive for Business or SharePoint depending on the meeting type. All recordings were previously stored in Microsoft Stream.
(1) Channel meetings - SharePoint
Recordings of channel meetings, including online classes, will be stored in a folder called Recordings in the Files tab of the MS Teams channel (Teams SharePoint Site).
Permission of the recordings is inherited from the owners and members listed in the channel for access to the recordings.
(2) Other meetings – OneDrive for Business
All non-channel meetings will be classified as ‘Other meetings’. The videos of these meetings will be stored in the Recordings folder of OneDrive for Business of the user who started the recording.
The shared link of the recording will be sent to the meeting invitees who are PolyU members automatically. The meeting organizer or the user who started the meeting recording can also manually add the invitees to the shared list if they are non-PolyU members.
