Please be aware of a critical Windows Wi-Fi vulnerability affecting all common versions of Windows. This security issue poses a significant risk to our network and data integrity.
If the Windows system is not updated, an attacker within Wi-Fi range may have the ability to compromise your computer without any user interactions. To safeguard your system, we strongly recommend updating all your Windows devices with Wi-Fi connectivity using the latest patch as soon as possible.
Take note that Windows 8 or earlier versions are not supported, and updates are not available. You are advised to consider an upgrade to these devices to supported versions of Windows (Windows 10 or Windows 11) to ensure continued security.
Remediation:

Windows 10 device
- Connect to the Internet or campus network
- Login to Windows
- Open Settings, click on the Start button
- Select Settings and then Update & Security
- Click on the Check for Updates button
- Select the latest patch to install
- Reboot your device

Windows 11 device
- Connect to the Internet or campus network
- Login to Windows
- Open Settings, click on the Start button
- Select Settings and then Windows Update
- Click on the Check for Updates button
- Select the latest patch to install
- Reboot your device
