Phishing Alert: Malicious Email Pretending Voice Mail Message

The Information Technology Services (ITS) Office wishes to alert you to an email which pretending voicemail notification. In the email, the phisher claims that you have received a voicemail and could click a link to listen. When you click the "Listen to Voice Mail" button, it will direct you to a phishing link requesting you to input login information.

Phishing Alert: Malicious Email with Subject "来自您账户的付款。"

The Information Technology Services (ITS) Office wishes to alert you to emails with the subject "来自您账户的付款。". In those emails, the scammers claim that they have implanted a malware on your computer, therefore have been able to capture your address book, online activities, and even taken videos using your webcam.

Phishing Alert: Malicious Email with Subject "New Mail Received 03/11/2020"

The Information Technology Services (ITS) Office wishes to alert you to an email with the subject "New Mail Received 03/11/2020". In the email, the phisher claims that you have received a voicemail and could click a link to listen. When you click the "Proceed to Listen" button, it will direct you to a phishing link requesting you to input login information.

Phishing Alert: Malicious Email with Subject "Help Needed asap"

The Information Technology Services (ITS) Office wishes to alert you to an email purporting to be sent from an University staff with the subject "Help Needed asap". In the email, the phisher requests the recipient to reply to the email as soon as possible. If you do so, the follow-up email may ask you to provide your personal information or buy gift cards from a store.

CTVPN service will be retired on 31 January 2021

To: All students Subject: CTVPN service will be retired on 31 January 2021 Date: 28 January 2021   For students based in Mainland, please take note that the carrier-based secure VPN service deployed for use in the past semesters will be retired on coming Sunday 31 January 2021. Please switch to ‘Cloud Express’ as soon as possible if you have not yet been using this service. Please refer to installation guide for download and installation procedure. Cloud Express Service Installation Guide: click here.  Please make sure you only start Cloud Express before accessing LEARN@PolyU platform from Mainland locations. We have observed a number of students simultaneously started the CTVPN service while using Cloud Express service. Running multiple connection sessions create additional overhead on your local Internet bandwidth, leading to instability on connectivity.
