Shuai received his Ph.D. in Logistics Engineering and Management from Beijing Jiaotong University. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department.

Shuai’s research interests include operations and supply chain management with disruptive technologies, such as AI, blockchain, and robots.  Focusing on these topics, he has published papers in reputable journals, including Production and Operations Management, Transportation Research Part E/D, and International Journal of Production Economics, etc.  During his Ph.D. and M.Phil. studies, he participated in multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

He is also an active reviewer for journals, such as Transportation Research Part E, International Journal of Production Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
