Biography
Dr Jiang Changmin is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Before joining PolyU, Dr Jiang worked at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China, and the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. His research involves various issues and aspects in the transportation sectors, particularly the economic and policy analysis. So far Dr Jiang has published 2 books and more than 60 peer-review academic papers, most of which appear in first-tier journals, including Transportation Research Part A/B/C/D/E, Energy Economics, Regional Studies, Annals of Operations Research and more. He’s the founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier journal Transport Economics and Management, an Associate Editor of Transport Policy and Social-Economic Planning Sciences, and serves the editorial boards of multiple leading journals. He’s also the principal investigator of 10 national grants from Canada and China, and the winner of multiple research and teaching awards. Other than academic research, Dr Jiang is also experienced in industry collaboration, serving as a consultant for multiple companies and organisations. Dr Jiang has been regularly interviewed by multiple media such as CBC from Canada and CGTN from China.
