Biography
Dr. Weiyue Gao is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She earned her Ph.D. in Design Science from the Zhejiang University School of Computer Science and Technology. With a background in human-computer interaction and interaction design, she has prior research experience in ideation support methods, artificial intelligence (AI)-supported design, and user experience of multimedia. Her current research focuses on the impact of generative AI (GenAI) on creative processes and the relationship between humans and GenAI in collaborative creation. Dr. Gao is passionate about exploring how AI can enhance creativity and innovation in creative tasks, and she is committed to advancing knowledge in this field through her research.
