To bridge the gap between the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and modern medicine, as well as to elucidate the former’s scientific value, the Research Centre for Chinese Medicine Innovation (RCMI) and the State Key Laboratory of Chinese Medicine and Molecular Pharmacology (Incubation), Shenzhen (SKLTCM) co-organised the first Research Seminar Series “Forum on Development and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine” on 29 July 2022 (Friday) via Zoom.
Eminent TCM scholars showcased their research findings and insights on pharmacological mechanisms of herbs and formulas. Prof. He Rongrong (College of Pharmacy, Jinan University) and Prof. Zeng Kewu (School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Peking University) were invited as the speakers to examine the pharmacological mechanisms of herbs and provide research-based information on current TCM research findings. Dr Daniel Mok, Acting Director of RCMI and Associate Professor, hosted an interactive Q&A session near the end of the seminar.
The event was well-attended with 68 participants, engaging students and researchers nationwide for fruitful discussion and potential interdisciplinary collaboration.
