EID Lecture – HUMANISE

Craig joined the studio in 2008 and is one of seven design partners. He brings exceptional architectural design and leadership skills to the studio, and over the last 15 years has been instrumental in the successful realisation of several projects in Asia and globally. For international projects Craig has often relocated as part of his role as project leader. In each circumstance he was the lynchpin between the project team on-the-ground and the studio's team based in London. The Shanghai studio opened in 2022 – the practice's first permanent base outside of London. Craig is based in Shanghai and acts as the Head of Studio, China. In this role he manages the studio's operations and oversees all projects in the region, while maintaining a strong connection to London. He leads a team of highly-skilled and experienced site architects to ensure the effective delivery of projects. Projects Craig is currently overseeing with the Shanghai team include the Hainan Performing Arts Centre, Changi Airport Terminal 5 in Singapore and Phase 2 of 1000 Trees in Shanghai. Previously, Craig led the design of the 120,000sqm new headquarters office for Google in King's Cross; the design of EDEN, a 100m tall residential tower in Singapore; and the redesign of Pacific Place in Hong Kong.
