Biography
Dr. Clifford CHOY received his BEng (Hons) and PhD in 1992 and 1998 respectively. From mid 1997 till end of 1999, he worked in a local software company in developing mission critical business applications and Internet applications for companies, including leading the reengineering of the payroll system for HACTL. He started working in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since January 2000, and he is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Design, teaching design processes, interaction design, physical computing, digital fabrication, programming and computer game development. His research focuses on digital fabrication, design knowledge management, creativity support and maker culture. He was the director of the featured Maker Faire Hong Kong in 2015, 2017 and 2018. He is currently member of the CDC-HKEAA committee on Design and Applied Technology and the Public Examination Board in the HKEAA, and the Committee on Learning Resources & Support Services in the CDC.
