Creative Social Solutions Shine at the PolyU Design Hatch Awards 2024 Stage

The year-round PolyU Design Hatch Awards 2024 is finally coming to a wrap as the winners of the five award categories has been announced at the Final Presentation cum Award Ceremony on 20 July, 2024.

Organised by the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Hatch Awards is a competition that caters to diverse interests and aptitudes, nurturing the creative potential of high school students. Finalists competed with over 110 entries in the first round and undergone a series of design lectures, workshops and ideation consultations during the 4-day Hatch Programme, before taking the stage to pitch their final design solutions to the judging panel at the final presentation.

The last teams standing wowed audience not only with their creative approaches but also backed with thorough research and solid outcomes, providing the judging panel with a fresh take on the social issues through the lens of a secondary school student.
