A 10-hour web-based e-learning module for students was developed by Service-Learning and Leadership Office to prepare students for upcoming service-learning experience. It aims to introduce to students the concept of service-learning and equip them with the basic knowledge, attitudes and skills required for planning and implementing a SL project effectively. It includes an introduction, four instructional units (see below) with readings and other learning activities embedded in each of them, as well as an End-of-Course Test.

A 10-hour e-learning module for faculty members and staff was developed, named “Service-Learning Pedagogy & Practice”. This course aims to introduce the concept of service-learning, and to equip faculty members and service-learning teachers with the pedagogical knowledge and skills required for planning and implementing a service-learning programme effectively for the students. This course consists of six units covering the basic pedagogical knowledge and skills you will need to understand what service-learning is and to formulate an effective service-learning programme in your own discipline. They are:

  4. Designing and Implementing a Service-Learning Programme
