Prof. Alan Chow is the Founding Managing Partner of Focus Capital Group Ltd, a family office established in 2015. He also serves as an Advisory Partner at Beyond Ventures, a co-investor in the HKSAR Government’s HK$2 billion Information Technology Venture Fund. Notably, he co-founded a startup that was listed on both the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) and Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) within three to five years.

Currently, Prof. Alan holds directorships in a Hong Kong-listed company and is the Founder and Chairman of two charitable organizations: AI Lab and the Amazing Hong Kong Foundation.

Besides being an AI and Business Specialist for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), he is a certified instructor for NVIDIA and serves as a judge for the NVIDIA Inception Program. He has developed and taught an innovative interdisciplinary course titled "AI and Entrepreneurship" for computer science students at PolyU and HKUST, and business students at CityU, engaging multiple cohorts.

Prof. Chow is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hong Kong, where he teaches courses in AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity and Risk Management as well as AI for FinTech course for the Master of FinTech program at HKUST.

He actively supports master degree students by designing, advising, and coordinating industrial visits in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area for all Master programs students of the HKU Business School.

With a background as an executive at a Fortune 50 company, Prof. Chow is an alumnus of PolyU, HKU, Renmin University, and Tsinghua University.
