My “BM” story: students should share the learning experience, campus life and extracurricular activities they have experienced during the BM program.
Eligibility
Contestants working in teams or on their own will be collectively referred to as “Contestant”.
The Video
Each Contestant will submit 1 video entry of a maximum duration of 3 minutes. The video entry will be uploaded onto YouTube or Bilibili under an account created by the Contestant. The privacy setting of the video entry should be set to “Unlisted”, and comments are disabled. The video will be tagged “#PolyUMScBM”.

Requirements
- The video entry will address the theme of the Competition. Examples of contents are: personal learning experiences, memorable moments in the programme, interesting observations, etc.

Format of works: reels, short videos, animation, etc. The video should be less than 3 minutes.

The video entry will be in one or more of the following languages: Cantonese, Putonghua and English. Videos with subtitles in English plus Traditional or Simplified Chinese are required.

The Contestant will carry out post-production after shooting, including subtitles, background music and sound effects, graphics, captions, visual effects, animation, voice-over, etc.

The Contestant will need to submit the video entry in mp4 format and 16:9 aspect ratio to PolyU/FB upon request. The Contestant will also grant his/her consent to PolyU/FB to post the video entry on social media or other PolyU/FB designated channels.

PolyU and FB logos will be provided by PolyU, and the application of these logos shall conform to the PolyU/FB Brand Communication Guidelines.

Any royalty and license issues that may arise from the videos for online and offline usages should be cleared before submitting the video entry.

The video entry should not contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory or slanderous. It should not promote bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, disability or sexual orientation.

The video entry will comply with the YouTube/Bilibili Terms of Service.
Video Entry Submission
The Contestant will send the link of the uploaded video on YouTube/Bilibili by 14 Feb 2023, 23:59 pm (HKT) to fb.marketing.enquiry@polyu.edu.hk . The email will also need to contain the following information:
- Name(s) of Contestant(s)

Whether the Contestants are current students or alumni. If the Contestants are MSc BM alumni, please indicate the year(s) of graduation.

Judging Criteria
All video entries will be evaluated in a 2-stage process:
Stage 1:

Video entries submission period: 1 to 14 February 2023.

The privacy setting of the video entry should be set to “Unlisted”, and comments setting should be set to disabled.

The selection panel will verify whether the submission’s content meet the required terms and conditions.

Announcement of shortlisted entries: 17 February 2023
Stage 2:
-
Shortlisted entries will be invited to change the video’s privacy setting to “Public” and attract ‘Likes’ from public on their selected social platform.

The Selection Panel will evaluate the submissions based on the following criteria:
- Content and Relevancy (40%)
- Creativity and originality (40%)
- Technical Appeal (20%)

The final score will be calculated based on the accumulated number of “Likes” on social platform(s) x 50% and scores given by the Selection Panel x 50%.

Voting Cut-off day: 8 March 2023, 6:00 pm (HKT)

Results will be announced in mid-March 2023.

Terms and Conditions
- Contestants agree to be bound by the competition rules and decisions of the PolyU/FB judges. The judges’ decision is final.

The Contestant shall warrant that the video does not infringe upon the patent or copyright of any third party. In the case of any claim or action brought against the PolyU/FB, its employees or agents alleging infringement of any patent or copyright in respect of the video, the Contestant shall indemnify and hold the PolyU/FB, its employees and agents harmless against all costs and damages arising out of such alleged infringement and undertake to defend or settle such claim or action at the expense of the Contestant.

The Contestant shall be responsible for complying with the enactments, orders, regulations or other instruments issued by the Government of Hong Kong or other competent authority in Hong Kong. The Contestant shall indemnify PolyU/FB against any penalty, loss or cost arising as a result of the Contestants failure to comply with any of the said enactments, orders, regulations, or other instruments.

If any dispute arises between the PolyU/FB and the Contestant in reference to the implementation of this Competition, or any part thereof, PolyU/FB or Contestant may forthwith give to the other party written notice requiring the matter to be referred to a single arbitrator, in accordance with the procedures governed by the Arbitration Ordinance, whose decision shall be final, and binding on the parties. The costs of such reference shall be in the discretion of the arbitrator.

The Competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.

The Contestant must ensure that the submitted video has been created ethically and they make related declarations in the submission.

Contestant is not allowed to cause or encourage any inaccurate measurements of the Competition result, including by paying people or providing them with incentives to increase a video’s views and likes or otherwise manipulate metrics in any manner.
