PolyU Business School (PBS) has been successfully re-accredited for five years by the EQUIS Accreditation Board. PBS has been accredited since 2007.
The Board particular noted the strength of the PBS mission, its established research position, and its overall teaching performance. It commended the School for the quality of its students, the excellence of its academic output, and its field-based expertise in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
The feedback highlighted the excellent positioning of PBS research, and its development of specific areas of expertise – such as Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies and Shipping, FinTech, and Data Analytics – that are consistent with both the local environment and the context of a technology-focused university. EQUIS also recognised PBS’s research agenda and its successful embedding of sustainability issues into its newly established Master of Science in ESG and Sustainability.
EQUIS is a rigorous tool for business schools to assess, accredit, and improve their quality by benchmarking them against international standards in ten key areas: governance, programmes, students, faculty, research, internationalisation, ethics, responsibility, sustainability, and corporate engagement. There are currently 215 EQUIS-accredited schools in 45 countries.
