Exploring Europe: Language Corners and Study Abroad Opportunities for Students
Student Corner
The Minor in Spanish programme offered by the Department of English and Communication (ENGL) organised "Spanish Corner" activities every two weeks during September and October, allowing participants to practice their language skills in an engaging environment. Students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn Spanish and explore cultural nuances through interactive discussions. Additionally, the Minor in European Studies programme, also offered by ENGL, hosted two "French Corner" activities in September and November, introducing students to French culture through presentations, karaoke, and engaging discussions, fostering enthusiasm for learning French. The programme also featured the talk "Engage with Europe, Plan your Future" on 9 September, attracting over 100 students interested in studying abroad. Representatives from various European consulates and institutions, including the European Union Office in Hong Kong, shared valuable information about study and sponsorship opportunities in various European countries.
