Significant Pursuits in Constructing Test Tasks for Education Quality Evaluation: Validity, Authenticity, Fairness, and Interaction - The Example of Chinese Integrated Writing. Abstract
This speech used Chinese integrated writing as an example to explore the requirements for test tasks in educational quality assessments. The talk advocated the tasks that embodied theoretical validity, practical authenticity, fairness, and interaction. The discussion also included the students' processing of multimodal sources, such as understanding, comparing, choosing, and applying, and the influence of individual student characteristics. Task design strategies included providing authentic topics, incorporating multimodal sources, allowing space for flexible thinking, promoting creative information, and respecting individual differences, etc.
