Q2. Can parts of the thesis/dissertation be published prior to thesis publication and would this be considered as self-plagiarism?
Postgraduate research students, regardless of their field of study, are encouraged to publish work related to their thesis. When the student submits his or her thesis, he/she should declare that parts or all of the findings of the thesis have been previously published, with publication title and journal stated.
