PolyU co-hosts The Third USR Summit in Beijing with PekingU

PolyU co-hosted The Third Summit on University Social Responsibility (USR) in Beijing with PekingU in November 2016. It was a key initiative of the University Social Responsibility Network (USR Network) and attracted over 100 academia from around the world for a fruitful exchange on “Nurturing a Culture for University Social Responsibility”.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, PolyU President Professor Timothy W. Tong expressed that global challenges including environmental protection have driven universities worldwide to redefine their roles and responsibilities in order to bolster their impact on society. The USR Network member universities share the same vision of the USR Network and are dedicated to promoting USR by organizing various projects.
