Recognizing hall students’ efforts in recycling

The Inter-hall Recycling Competition runs annually at Homantin Halls and has established itself as a signature events for the entire hall community. Hall residents are encouraged to collect and recycle one specific material type per month from November 2016 to February 2017. This year, Green Hall’s Recycling Competition has collected a total of 64 kg plastics, 518 kg waste paper, 51 kg metal and 116 kg glass materials. A Spring Party cum Inter-hall Recycling Competition Award Ceremony was held on 31 March to recognize and award the most active hall for the residents’ contribution and support for the competition. The winner of the competition this year goes to Violet Hall.

In addition, Green Hall promoted Earth Hour 2017 to all residents and incited them to participate in this world-wide green-living campaign on 25 March 2017.
