Student green body formulates new plans

Founded in 2010, The Green Society, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Students’ Union, aims at promoting a green lifestyle among PolyU students and increasing their awareness towards environmental protection. Works have been done to sow the ‘green’ seeds in the mind of the students. Named ‘GreenMitt’, the 6th Exco members make their name to emphasize on their green ‘comMitment’.

A wide range of exciting activities are planned for the new academic year. The 3 ‘O’ – OWeek, ONight and OCamp will provide valuable opportunities for members to know each other and to get close to the countryside through planned visits. A guided tour to Hong Kong’s green buildings is also in mind.

Adopting a green lifestyle may not be easy for all and changes do not come in a haste. Any student who shares the same green mindset is welcome to join them and be together to find the way to building a greener Hong Kong.
