Examining green procurement

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) organized the Green Procurement Forum on 22 March 2018. It was a precious occasion where speakers from education institutes, corporations, and government departments gathered to explore the role of procurement and shared their experiences and operational conditions in their own field.

Mr. Joseph Chan, Head, Campus Sustainability delivered a presentation on behalf of the University. He highlighted the existing green procurement practices in the University and shared the lessons behind the various promotional green activities on campus. He reinforced the principle of making the better and green choice in the course of procurement which could bring about a positive impact on our environment.
