Local universities join to say no to straws

‘UNIfy: Skip the Straw’ was the ever-first joint environmental campaign organized by the Hong Kong Sustainable Campus Consortium (HKSCC) which aims to reduce disposable plastic waste and raise awareness in local universities. ‘No Straw Day’, ‘No Straw Week’ and other events under this theme were hosted on the campuses during 12-16 March, and catering outlets only offered straws when requested.

PolyU showed full support to this call. 15 of its campus catering outlets participated in PolyU’s No Straw Day on 16 March 2018, amounting to a campus-wide attention across its University community.
