WWF Earth Hour 2018

For the twelfth year in a row, PolyU dimmed on 24 March 2018 for one hour from 8:30 p.m. to support the annual global event Earth Hour. During that period, most non-essential lighting and TV displays in PolyU were switched off.

The Earth Hour is initiated by The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), aiming to spread awareness about climate change. It deliberately promotes an energy-efficiency solution, responsible consumption, and sustainable cities. The theme for Earth Hour 2018 is ‘Let Nature Shine’.
