Handling unwanted electrical appliances responsibly

For the second time, the Campus Sustainability Office staged an activity to collect unwanted electrical appliances and Regulated Electrical Equipment (REE) on 5 and 6 June 2018 on campus. This was a signature event to echo the World Environment Day and to promote the proper way to dispose of waste electrical appliances. Around 100 electrical appliances and computing equipment were collected and sent to ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions (HK) Limited (ALBA) for further examination.

An invited speaker from ALBA attended a lunch seminar on 12 June 2018 and shared with the participants some useful tips on taking good care of our appliances. Knowing how to keep our household appliances in good conditions can definitely reduce waste production.
