The Earth Hour this year was held on Saturday, 30 March 2019 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It has been a global movement to call for people’s action to protect the planet and promote sustainability. It is about spreading the awareness of environmental issues and calling for support to fight against climate change. PolyU has shown keen support to this global event since 2007, and the University switched off most non-essential lighting and TV displays on 30 March this year.
Don’t worry if you missed this meaningful event this year. You are always encouraged to turn off all non-essential lighting and electrical appliances when you don’t need them and go for a more sustainable and greener lifestyle on campus or at home.
