That’s why we spare no effort in the research and development of groundbreaking technologies that help protect the environment. In energy terms, we invented new ways to cut down on consumption coupled with efficient use of renewable sources. On air quality, we’ve been researching on acid rain formation, health implications of indoor air quality and air pollution in Pearl River Delta. In waste management, we’ve been successfully recycling waste water and construction waste while making bio-degradable plastics out of industrial effluents. In transportation, we’ve designed the very first home-grown electric car, a solar-powered air conditioning system for vehicles and energy-efficient headlights.
