Manufacturing Forum was organized on 14 Oct 2023 by Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Section – THE IET HK and co-organized by Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Section – The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Department of Industrial and System Engineering – The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and PolyU MILES Alumni Association.
There was total 79 participants with 10 participants from PolyU MILES Alumni Association attending this event. The event has separated into two sections: morning and afternoon section.
In the morning section is the latest figures of Hong Kong Manufacturing Industry and new industrialization development, In the afternoon section is the emerging forces of Hong Kong Manufacturing Industry.
The event started at 9:30 with souvenirs presentation and group photos. After those two topics: Hong Kong Manufacturing Industry Connects to the World Through the Greater Bay Area by Ricky Chan and New Quality Productivity Empowered by NI by Raymond Shan were presented A short break with some drinks for refreshment was conduction. Two more topics: Demand and Future Trends of Advanced Equipment in the Manufacturing Industry in 2023 by Robert Lai and Metal Manufacturing Industry Enters the New Industrialization by Alexis Suen were presented. A panel discussion was held for Q & A. The morning section ended at 13:10.
In the afternoon section, one topic: Intelligent Manufacturing and the Vanguard of High-end Industries by Felix Choi and Sharing Time for Outstanding Young Industrialists by Maggie Tsoi and Nicholas Lai were presented. At the end, a panel discussion was held by Outstanding Your Engineers. The event ended at 17:00.
