School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University.
Dr Daniel Engstrom has been a lecturer in 3D Printing at Loughborough University, United Kingdom since 2015. His research focus on new applications of Additive Manufacturing through new materials and multi-material/hybrid printing methods within areas such as Metamaterials for Microwave Communication, Superconductors, Biomaterials, Soft magnets and Turbines blades. Prior to his lectureship he held several Research Associate positions at University of Oxford, Imperial College London and University College London working on new nano- and microfabrication methods and nanofluidic devices for HIV detection. His PhD from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) on micro integration of carbon nanotubes was carried out in collaboration with University of Cambridge. He graduated with a BSc and MSc in Applied Physics from the Technical University of Denmark.
