Summary
Recently, “Circular Economy” (CE) is attracting attentions as a key concept for achieving sustainable society, in addition to carbon neutrality. CE requires a drastic change of manufacturing industries from mass production and mass consumption to circular manufacturing with value proposition. This presentation firstly introduces the future directions of manufacturing CE implies. Then, some key elements for escaping from the mass production are explained, including value proposition ecosystem, circulation provider, product service system, and life cycle engineering, especially life cycle design.
