In the Solidworks Design Competition 2024, themed "Design for People in Need," our talented students have made us proud. The competition, organized by Intelligent CAD/CAM Technology Ltd (ICT) and co-organized by Research Centre for Assistive Technology, Industrial Centre, and University Research Facility in 3D Printing, provided PolyU students with the opportunity to transform their innovative ideas into real products with marketing value.
Among over 30 student project teams, a group of ISE students, Mr. Heung Pui Yin, Mr. Lee Chun Lok, Mr. Wong Yat Chun and Mr. Sin Tsz Fung create the smart walking stick "InnovWalk," designed to assist the elderly, secured the 1st Runner Up position. This achievement reflects our students' dedication and creativity in addressing societal needs.
