In my role as a Business Analyst on the IT Team at OOCL, my primary responsibility is to provide business and functional analysis to define the requirements for our internal enterprise application system.

A significant aspect of my job involves gaining a deep understanding of our business operations. I document current processes in the shipping and logistics industry and then focus on proposing solutions to enhance them for the future. Collaboration with the project team is essential to ensure that the final product aligns with the needs of the business and users.

This role allows me to leverage my business acumen and analytical skills. It is well-suited for individuals who think innovatively and are eager to tackle challenges head-on!

My undergraduate study at PolyU provides a solid foundation in logistics operations and business processes, aiding in understanding the intricacies of the shipping industry. This background enhances my ability to analyze requirements, identify process improvements, and propose effective solutions. The Logistics and Engineering Management (LEM) programme equips me with analytical skills for interpreting data and translating business needs into IT requirements. Problem-solving abilities honed through complex logistics challenges enable me to design solutions and implement IT systems. Communication skills refined through stakeholder interactions are vital for articulating technical concepts. My understanding of business processes is key to optimizing efficiency and driving growth as a Business Analyst at workplace.
