Doing your term assignment
The refurbished SCC with improved seating layout for informal learning is a good place for you and classmates to study or do your assignments. Computer desks in SCC are spacious enough to put your laptop, mobile devices and reference books altogether. Power supply is provided at every seat therefore you need not worry when your laptop runs out of battery in the middle of work. Most of the computer labs in SCC are opening from 9am to 11:30pm from Monday to Sunday without prior booking arrangement, for details of the opening hours please check here.
Using licensed software to complete term assignment
If you are looking for some licensed software such as Adobe CC, SPSS, Unreal Engine and other multimedia applications to make your term assignment or final project outstanding, you are welcome to leverage software installed on SCC machines. You can also remote access to SCC machines through Virtual Student Computer Centre (vSCC 1 and vSCC 2) with your connect email address.
Printing hardcopy for submission
Students who need to submit a hard copy of term assignment but without a printer at home are welcome to SCC to utilize the printing service. Students can either login to the SCC’s computers directly or leverage SCC mobile print service using his/ her own laptops or mobile devices to print files. The mobile print service supporting cloud storage includes Microsoft OneDrive, Adobe Cloud, Google Drive, Google Docs, iCloud Files and Dropbox, etc.
